Technical Support for U2 Mirage simulators has just got even better now with FX Simulations new Technical Support Department.
Technical Support Manager, Hywel Merrit says “We have spent a lot of time putting different systems in place to ensure our customers’ simulators are running well and in case of a breakdown are fixed promptly.”
The new technical support department consists of a direct support number, which is answered by a trained technical support staff member. On this number parts orders can be placed and technical assistance can be given down the phone.
FX have also improved the web site with 24/7 access to online parts ordering, maintenance submissions and technical bulletins.
“We have spent a lot of time creating helpful information for our customers to address the top 5 most common problems.” Said Mr Merrit. FX have streamlined the support side of things to give maximum support to their customers in the UK and abroad.
“The support side of FX has gone from being a small add on, to a busy business. With adips and maintenance contracts we are kept very busy.”
The support department also handle refurbishment’s which is a very cost effective way to enhance income figures of older simulators. “With refurbishments we get the capsule removed and re-sprayed in a different colour and have the new windscreen capsule fitted. Inside, new seats are fitted along with new rubber and seals. The motionbase and hydraulics are given an overhaul to keep them running well. The end result is the public think it’s a brand new simulator and takings soar.”
